Since before Primus formed to the present day, all members of the band (past and present) have been involved in various different side projects.

  • Les contributed bass for Jerry Cantrell's first solo album, Boggy Depot. Cantrell joined the band on stage most notably at Woodstock Festival 1994.
  • Les and Brain contributed to many tracks on various Tom Waits albums, including "Bone Machine," "Blood Money," "Real Gone," and "Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers, and Bastards." Claypool, LaLonde and Brain all played on the first track ("Big in Japan") of Tom Waits' album "Mule Variations." Ler also was on "Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers, and Bastards."
  • Les contributed bass to one track on Kenny Wayne Shepherd's "Live On."
